A step in the wrong direction

Never, ever, ever brag about your kid's sleeping habits. It always comes back to bite you in the ass.

And, by "you", I mean "me".

Case in point: D came downstairs tonight at 9pm to say he wanted someone to sleep with him. I, being in a super-sensitive mommy mode, told him to get back to bed NOW.

Well, he went to sleep, but maybe not to bed.

At least he's smart enough to pick the bottom step.

D's resemblance to our son is UNCANNY!!! Wow... For a second, I thought I was looking at my own child!

The Gavinator slept with us for 2 1/2 years(mostly me - hubby was gone for 1 1/2 of those years on remote and a deployment).

When hubby got home from Iraq, we put Gavin in his own bed and while there were some midnight visits to us, he did fine.

Sometimes he still hops into our bed in the middle of the night, but not often.

Very smart of D to choose the bottom step! :)

Very funny - but man, my back hurts after looking at this! I'd be hospitalized if I tried sleeping in that position for longer than 20 seconds.

Good Lord! That can't possibly be comfortable! Hilarious, but not comfy at all.

And you know you have your priorities in order when you take a picture of it. Because you know, 10 years from now, he'll never believe you.

Bottom line...a sleeping child is a beautiful child.

Hee. My Captain Adventure has those exact same pajamas! And has also been known to fall asleep in...interesting...places. "I not tired...I not tired...I no go BED, I go...play! Play MORE! No BED!"

Five minutes later, we find him passed out on the stairs, or hanging upside down off the couch, or curled up half under our bed, or...
