Who says you can't run away from it all?

I've decided that my latest bout with depression required me to do something drastic.

So, I ran away.

Photobucket

With my ambassadors of fun, of course.

I'm feeling a bit better already, after some lobster salad and a big cherry-chip ice cream scoop. But, I may need to do it all again tomorrow, just to be sure it's working.

(much love to all of you who commented or sent me personal emails, tweets or facebook notes (and to the one who showed up on my doorstep for coffee). It is so much appreciated and touches me to know you guys have got my back when I start to fall)

There's really no better place to vanquish the noise in one's head than at the edge of the sea. Waves do wonders.

The upside has to be, though, that when your kids have their memory of you at 40 it will be from turning their heads in your direction as they run down the boardwalk. And ice cream. Keep eating ice cream.

Hope you feel better.

I hope you're feeling better! I find that the sea & ocean always make me feel better. It's magic like that.

And that's a great photo!

Oh that is a beautiful picture. I'm glad all of that helped some. Ice cream cures a lot. I recommend continuing with this treatment. ;)

Recharge. Refuel. Relax. You'll be busy as all get out soon enough and we'll be trapped inside with another New England winter*, so "Run Fairly Odd Mother, Run!"

*not my most uplifting comment, sorry.

I'm so glad you are having a good time. There's nothing like taking a deep breath of sea air to make it all a little bit better.

Ditto Julie-- we need to get us gals together a bit more often. If nothing more than to give the young guys at the bar some hottie MILFs to look at.

Oh, and Los Straightjackets Sat. night. You in?

I do believe ice cream is a bit of a cure-all. But only with repeated applications.

I'm late to the party, but you know I've got your back!

And you know that I know of whence you speak.

Like I said in my other comment...if ever compelled to run north, you know where to head. Just follow the trail of wine bottle corks I'll leave out for you.
