It's In the Photograph

As if our town's Turkeygate hasn't been weird enough, I've been seeing the odd everywhere.

It started with a giant Mrs. Potato Head. That's her on my left.

Photobucket

Can't forget the gorgeous unicorn cake from MamaPop's Sparklecorn Party. And, yes, the rump was delicious (cake made by Chicago's Cake Girls and could be yours for a mere $1500!).

Photobucket

Back at home, there were twin double-yolk eggs that delighted the kids (and kind of scared me).

Photobucket

My son gained a little halo of plastic. As if I needed any proof that he was an angel.

Photobucket

And finally, a gas station that has its priorities straight.

Who knew Whoopie Pies were such a hot item?

Double-yolked eggs gross me out! Eating a unicorn's butt? Not so much.

I have never encountered a double yolk egg, much less two of them. Wow.

Wow, I've seen double yolks before but I don't think I've seen 2 in the same dozen.....

Love that Angel photo too!

LOL! Thanks for clarifying Mrs. Potato Head. I may have gotten it wrong the first time I looked :P Too funny.

That cake is unreal - like really unreal.

Hope everyone's getting better? We may sleep thru the night tonight, FINALLY!

Jessica, that unicorn's butt was so moist and yummy! I'm going to put the cake's makers on the site as soon as I find it so that anyone in Chicago who sees it knows who to call for amazing cakes.

Jennifer, Magpie, Julie B, glad to be your first double double yolker.

Tracey! You were there?!? I need to make a list next time. I missed to many people (like you!).

SabrinaT, I am weeping tears for you since Whoopie pies are a must-have every now and then (but not while pumping gas). Essentially they are (usually) two round chocolate cakes with a white, fluffy, marshmallowy filling. Kind of like an ice cream sandwich but not frozen. You must find one and eat.

Christine, we're on the mend (hope you are the same!).

Double-yolk eggs really gork me out.

And a $1500 dollar cake? Oiy! It had better have been good to cost THAT much! It sure was gorgeous though.

I somehow missed both the unicorn cake and Mrs. Potato Head. I am pretty sure I walked right by that cake five times and never looked at it. I wish I had some unicorn butt right now. ;)

What pray tell, is a whoopie cake?
