What This Bunny Made

I'm no Martha, but I do love mah sweets:

Photobucket

Here is my attempt at basket cupcakes. Do you see me shaking my tiny fist at Bakerella for mentioning Sour Straws? I searched three stores yesterday but had to settle for colored Twizzlers. My part of the world was also out of green sanding sugar, so I had to use green sprinkles.

Photobucket

Here are some Cotton Candy cupcakes. Thanks to
CakeSpy, the frosting alone on these has set me back 10 days in the Shred (sorry Team Bob!).

Photobucket

And, last but not least, some chocolate bird nests for my sugary little Peeps. Fortunately, I can only stand to eat one Peep a holiday, so my quota has been met.

Have a great holiday filled with all kinds of sweet.

You are Martha!!!!! This looks great, I wish I could do something like that but I am completely incapable of cooking and decorating something that looks edible or nice..
I bet they tasted great!
Cheers,
Anita

Whee! These tasted as good as they looked. Those cotton candy ones are TO DIE FOR. Seriously, I woke up thinking about those!

By the way, next time you run out, you can make your own colored sanding sugar-- just dump some sugar in a bowl (bigger/raw grains work best), add a few drops of food coloring, and stir around. Not as pretty as the store-bought stuff, but saved me during Xmas-cookie season.

Those are fantastic.
In a pinch, you can use sharp kitchen scissors on froot roll-ups to make handles and fiddly bits - but licorice works VERY nicely, too.

You'll always be Martha to me.

But, dude, cupcakes are my Achilles Heal. If I look at them too much longer I may eat my computer screen. I'm not kidding.

The first ones were nice! The second one was.... interesting.... and the third ROCKED.

Honestly, it's all about the chocolate for me, though...

I can't believe you had any candy available to MAKE those. I would have eaten most of it as I was assembling....

I made the bakerella cupcakes too. And I did find the sour straws, but they were way too short, so I don't know if I got some defective ones or if bakerella is just magic. I used the same licorice and some other stuff, and they all fell over after a while anyway. And then I dropped them. I am the Anti-Martha, clearly.

Third time's a charm, right? I'm having comment leaving problems today! Anyway, I wanted to say, "How cute! I wish I'd seen these before Easter! I'm so making these next year, if I can wait that long!"
Sorry, for all the deleted comments!
Hugs!!
