Pomp and Circumstance

So this weekend, my handsome husband got dressed up in black. He walked the stage with hundreds of other graduates.

He posed for pictures with the kids.

And, this week he starts another four months of school before he gets his diploma.

The graduation ceremony comes early when your specific program doesn't end until September.

No matter, we're still proud of him and four months will be done soon enough.

We can't wait.

So does he get a prom? Will you be his date? Will there be the chance of a wrist corsage?

Nice! And good of him to walk. I was going to walk when I graduated because I thought it would send a good message to my boys. Instead, we opted for the beach.

Yay for only 4 more months!

I can still applaud for him, though. Right? And for you too because you're going through this together and that can't be easy.

Chicky Chicky Baby is right. This is as much a celebration for you as it is for him.

The late night study groups, the weekends doing research, the team projects... I never knew how my classmates with families did it. I can only imagine.

Congratulations to both of you!

Did he get drunk and streak across the quad? Oh, John, we are very proud of you. It's a hard road but, hopefully, well worth the journey. Serious celebration is due in September. Or in Brazil...

That's awesome! Congrats to hubs! And kudos to you for supporting his journey.

What degree? J. just finished too. He's been working corporate full time and chipping away at a counseling psych MA a class at a time literally since the week after Laurel was born (so, um, 4 years ago).

We're about to go into the poorhouse with his job change but it's exciting... he'll finally be doing something he really cares about. -Christine
