Office Space

I finally got around to cleaning up our very messy office before the new year.

There were papers to file:

Photobucket

A desk to find:

Photobucket

Where does this stuff go?

Photobucket

There was a box of items my mother chose to save from my childhood home. The priceless items she chose?

A few mice from my once-gigantic mouse collection. Good thing she saved these, they've gone up in value by sooooo much (snort):

Photobucket

There were some special jewels, like the stick pin with NOTHING monogrammed at the top. And the Wonder Woman bracelet:

Photobucket

The ugly-as-sin decorations like the one on the far left that I painted at one of those paint-your-own pottery places when I was 12:

Photobucket

Sunglasses I wore but couldn't actually see out of since they were so dark:

Photobucket

Oh, and then this. . .the boxer shorts I collected from some brave chap on the night of my bachelorette party. I washed them, but still, ewwwwwwwwwwwww. . .

Photobucket

Out with the old, in with the new. Who knows what I'll unearth in December when I do this all over again.

Maybe someone will see that photo and claim the undies? They are pretty unique. Oh, and BLURRRGGH! What the hell are you still doing with them? AND WHY DID MOM HAVE THEM?!!! IEEEE

(go to my happy place)

Isabel should like that necklace, since she's on her Egypt kick. The stick pin really cracked me up. Who on earth would give a young girl a pin with a round dot? Maybe it was to commemorate getting your first period.

OK, first, mom didn't have the undies---I had them in my closet, along with the bachelorette sign and some condoms we collected that night (those were tossed as well!)---most of that mess was in my house, but mom did give me a box of trinkets like the mice and the jewelry.

Yeah, that stick pin is ridiculous! Let me wear a stick pin with absolutely nothing on it!

Hahahaha - still not as bad as my office! I should tackle that tonight when I'm done working, lol.

I feel much better knowing your mom hadn't treasured those undies for oh these many years.

Wow, quite a collection. And what brave soul wore those undies? LOL

Ok. I feels only slightly better about the undies.

But wait. a. second. I believe that wooden fruit plaque is mine! I clearly remember burning the edges; ya know, when it was perfectly fine to let children light crafts on fire. For its artistic effect.

By the way, that little angel figurine? That is THE BEST! It's for the Feast of St. Lucia-- ya know, when girls wear candles on their heads. It's A CANDLE HOLDER! Get it? Ah ha ha ha

(Obviously, these memories helped fan the flames of your fire fetish later in life. Oh yeah. I went there.)
