I also remember my sister said to me when I complained "I wish my kids still slept with me - now they are too old". I shut up that day never to complain again...and now I say to you all, I wish mine would be small enough to climb into bed with us still. I have to say, I love sleeping beside my oldest son in his big bed - I slept beside him every night almost until my second baby was born, and now I am enjoying sleeping beside my baby!Loukiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03066879990007701379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-59663409137540272912009-07-21T10:29:06.884-05:002009-07-21T10:29:06.884-05:00Awwww. He will sleep in his bassinet next to the bed, but prefers sleeping with us (in a king-size bed, next to me since I don't move around while I'm asleep). Glad to see that others are out there co-sleeping... and that there are toddlers who sleep perfectly well by themselves after co-sleeping!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-67314665158839303672009-07-20T19:37:44.173-05:002009-07-20T19:37:44.173-05:00I wish we could say the same thing! At least it's not like last summer when we had all four of us stuffed in a king bed. I already knew she was insecure (military family moving a lot, father being gone a lot) so I just let her be and when she was ready, she was ready. She moved right on into her room just fine. We used to talk about all kinds of stuff while she was in our room, stuff I would never know about her if she hasn't been there. To this day she tells me everything. I love my baby (15) to death and would do it again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-62520363867522514972009-07-20T05:41:42.412-05:002009-07-20T05:41:42.412-05:00Brandy---I love that little kitten--his name is Me...Brandy---I love that little kitten--his name is Meow and he used to be Super Meow when he wore a little cape for a while.

Summer--yeah, lucky duck, you get her near you for a while longer!

Lise--you mean I can't follow them to college and sleep in their dorm rooms? But, I'm a "can't let them go" homeschooling mom! LOL.

Somehow I think that by the time D gets to college, he'll no longer have his "no girls in my room" rule (sigh). The first night his bed was set up, he told his sisters they couldn't sit on his bed b/c he didn't want it to "smell like girl".

Sabrina---we went through many, many, many nights of H-E-L-L with the girls to get them on their own but he was a piece of cake. You'll actually have to go to college with them and sleep in their dorm room beds with them! Oh, wait. Homeschooled kids are so poorly socialized they wouldn't be able to handle college anyway. Hrmmph.

Maybe I'm still a little bitter about the comments I used to hear about my parenting choices? :-)Lisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03865789906791786504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-82735263833843671702009-07-20T01:18:56.713-05:002009-07-20T01:18:56.713-05:00Love this!
