Sturbridge Village! Stumbled upon that a few years back when we were in the area. Have fun.Daily Cup of Johttp://dailycupofjo.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-43960772435068187052010-03-01T22:26:47.358-05:002010-03-01T22:26:47.358-05:00dbmamaz---yeah, the girls will sit for a bit, but ...dbmamaz---yeah, the girls will sit for a bit, but we move around a lot too----from the couch to the table to the other couch to the computer. . .I doubt anyone makes it longer than 15 minutes before they need to get up for a bit. And after lunch, we're useless too!

Stacia---it's just been since the middle has hit almost 7 and the oldest is 9 that they really want to sleep late (esp. the 9yo). My 5yo is usually the first one up though. Sleeping kids is a beautiful thing.

And Beck and Deb, thanks for your comments too---believe me, we have 'punch myself' days too----we took off most of February to do "Olympic School" b/c it's such a miserable month for homeschooling (IMHO). I think that helped us recharge.Fairly Odd Motherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11974404093257620566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-53716895296317638222010-03-01T22:18:47.713-05:002010-03-01T22:18:47.713-05:00Wow . . . i was stuck at the word 'sit' . ...Wow . . . i was stuck at the word 'sit' . . . 'sit' and 'do lesson'. I have 2 boys who dont sit. I'm chasing one to get to the table to do 3 minutes of writing, then the big one comes crying cuz i pay more attention to the little, and then I wrestle the little to put away laundry while reading a math book (it works best this way) and then I herd the cats outside for a long walk . . . and after lunch we're almost useless.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35507576.post-24716632880725831092010-03-01T20:32:13.215-05:002010-03-01T20:32:13.215-05:00Today's homeschooling day made me feel like pu...Today's homeschooling day made me feel like punching myself. Wow. And I can't wait for my kiddos to start teaching classrooms (couches) full of dolls and stuffed animals ... I always give myself a thumbs-up when I see that.

Today I delayed starting school because my son (who just HATES handwriting practice) was carefully writing and re-writing the alphabet all over the back of the grocery list. If I offer him his own paper I get "MOM, I'm not doing SCHOOLWORK right now"

Ok, sweetie, you just have fun then...and let me know when you re ready for school.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15218516934624514003noreply@blogger.com
